A Heart
I think this is a love poem. Maybe it's an ode to the magical power so many women have. Although this is only 9 months old, it feels older than that. The keepers of love hold the world together.
A Heart Is it a cursèd thing to be a woman, a thankless thing? If she does possess beauty, wit, and charm, then shall suitors drape about, like shawls upon her arm. Of those allures, she may have none and yet still be a special one. Because if she has a heart for loving, she has a gift that cannot fade, wane nor wear. If she has a heart for loving, she has a gift that will endear, endure and inspire. When fate finally ushers him into her presence, even the man with a bankrupt heart knows his luck has turned at last. He will kindle forever the fires of fidelity. A warmth shall be hers that never grows cold and a love shall be theirs that never grows old. 11/22
That was beautiful Weston. I love this:
When fate finally ushers
him into her presence,
even the man
with a bankrupt heart
knows his luck has turned at last
and will kindle forever
the fires of fidelity.
Your archetypes are classical and generous, Weston.
