Early on I was in repossessions and collections at a bank in New York, a job filled with spiritually rich people who each day radiated happiness. NOT. It was a profoundly miserable job for 364 days.
That dreadful job was in 1982-83 and was my last office job. Carpentry after that. Also received the best worst advice ever, "Young man, you must learn to disenchant yourself". I chose another direction.
