Oh my god Weston - I loved it all- your preamble, hearing about how the process takes you on a journey —an adventure, and you don’t know where you are going…. Just like the wind my friend…. And this piece is so beautiful it made my eyes water. Well done. So good and I feel so much of this, so deeply.

What could make a poet happier than what you had to say, nothing. Thanks Cynthia for reading, commenting and having watery eyes.

Oresti, this is brilliant. A word that doesn’t even give it justice.

Of course I am recent arrival as prior to this year I had adequate strength, power energy for my tasks. I just got a 20' container delivered yesterday and I will be building a lot of shelves in there but 2-3 hours is my max now for carpentry. It's a little sad, a little pathetic and I try to keep the scorn from creeping in but that's a challenge. I am trying to embrace it and the poems help me get there.

I love ‘This Autumn’ Sir Weston, a perfect fit for my Autumn season, thank you. Poetry is remedy, and your poem is remedy for me and moves me deeply.

I am sorry about your challenge, it’s a tough spot to be in, I have confidence you will ease into your new routine. All blessings to you and yours, Geraldine

You may be just pausing - I speak from experience. Listen to your older sister. Take a breather dear Oresti.

Wow, this really hit home, as I turned 78 in May, and every year becomes shorter than the one before. May we all be able to slip our grip...

Thank you for “the peak behind the curtain”. The imagery of the four seasons and how it pertains to each of us. Very powerful.

Beautiful. Your words as you write a poem, my fabrics as I make a quilt… both may go through various iterations, and sometimes becoming something quite different than we first imagined! And as you so poetically note - much like our lives!

I shook out the fine gray powder

at the base of the trees,

then all the way out

to their branches’ span,

echoing the roots below.

What a powerful image of the acceptance of our own inevitable death. Gorgeously done, Wes.

Nadia, through your comments and the others, I am learning what this poem is about, a very strange place for me to be, waiting for others to explain this thing. Thanks.
