Oh my god Weston - I loved it all- your preamble, hearing about how the process takes you on a journey —an adventure, and you don’t know where you are going…. Just like the wind my friend…. And this piece is so beautiful it made my eyes water. Well done. So good and I feel so much of this, so deeply.
Of course I am recent arrival as prior to this year I had adequate strength, power energy for my tasks. I just got a 20' container delivered yesterday and I will be building a lot of shelves in there but 2-3 hours is my max now for carpentry. It's a little sad, a little pathetic and I try to keep the scorn from creeping in but that's a challenge. I am trying to embrace it and the poems help me get there.
I love ‘This Autumn’ Sir Weston, a perfect fit for my Autumn season, thank you. Poetry is remedy, and your poem is remedy for me and moves me deeply.
I am sorry about your challenge, it’s a tough spot to be in, I have confidence you will ease into your new routine. All blessings to you and yours, Geraldine
Just flatout beautiful Weston! Fall always settles into me with deep melancholy and your poem captured it beautifully!!! PS - I'm one of the ones who loves all that preamble stuff! Thanks for sharing it.
I woke up this morning with my laptop beside me. apparently it had fallen asleep waiting for me to fill in this box with a comment. Even after coffee and , the sunshine, I have no words., except for Thank you.
Beautiful. Your words as you write a poem, my fabrics as I make a quilt… both may go through various iterations, and sometimes becoming something quite different than we first imagined! And as you so poetically note - much like our lives!
Nadia, through your comments and the others, I am learning what this poem is about, a very strange place for me to be, waiting for others to explain this thing. Thanks.

What could make a poet happier than what you had to say, nothing. Thanks Cynthia for reading, commenting and having watery eyes.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful soul here. It’s so special.
Sheesh.😌
Oresti, this is brilliant. A word that doesn’t even give it justice.
Thank you Patrismou from one autumn to another.
been here for a while, it has its own rich beauty

Thank you Geraldine, I surely do appreciate your kind words.
You may be just pausing - I speak from experience. Listen to your older sister. Take a breather dear Oresti.
When we head off to Messico, the big chill starts and I love it.
The pitch of this roof is perfect
Thanks Malcom. 6/12 was always my favorite pitch to work on.
Wow, this really hit home, as I turned 78 in May, and every year becomes shorter than the one before. May we all be able to slip our grip...
Yes and yes. Thanks Jessica.

Well, that'll do nicely, thanks Bliss.
Thank you for “the peak behind the curtain”. The imagery of the four seasons and how it pertains to each of us. Very powerful.
Thank you Monica.
What a meditation on the seasons of life as we move toward the final chapter—Powerful, Weston.
Thank you Paul.

Thank you Jennifer. It is all a rolling, rumbling mystery after all.
I shook out the fine gray powder
at the base of the trees,
then all the way out
to their branches’ span,
echoing the roots below.
What a powerful image of the acceptance of our own inevitable death. Gorgeously done, Wes.
That's a good one coming from you Ann. Thank you.
👊❤️
Sums my life up so well. Thank you!
Doug, I think we are about the same age? I'm 65
I’ve got some years up on you. I’m 71. I am grateful for connecting with you.
Me too Doug, that's what this poetry is all about for me, the connection.
Love this one. Especially that first stanza.
Thanks MK.
